Rules of the game
Axiom: if you help someone there is a high probability that the person you're helping, will most likely be the one later pulling the trigger at the firing squad. Darn those made for television movies!
However, The Bible says do not grow weary in doing good. For in due season you will reap if you do not loose heart. Galatians 6:9
Do good in secret and God will reward you openly. Each one will receive praise from God. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Do good, it may even backfire, but God won't forget it.
